Two fantastic aprons given to me by friends (have I posted this image here before, I can't remember)
I'm so glad Sarah is thrilled to be the recipient of the book giveaway! It's coming your way.
It's been a funny old week. We had a great weekend. It rained, rained, rained! Saturday afternoon I slipped over on wet cement (probably tripped over my feet) and fell smack onto my hands, knees, chest. Luckily, my 'chest' broke my fall and now I have a couple of fantastic boob bruises, plus knees that won't be doing any kneeling for a while. We went to a birthday that evening so the alcohol numbed the pain. The next evening was another story.
Then it got really good. Monday morning I had a car accident on the way to work, with a car running into the back of me. I was almost stationary and the car may be a right-off, according to the crash repairer. So no car and probably looking at buying a new one. Literally a pain in the neck. I had no idea what whiplash was until now. I have the strangest pain in the side of my throat.
Today I am home because I don't have to work. But my neighbour is doing some sort of renovations on the other side of the (common) wall. Ack! So much for a quiet day.
Having said all that, I'm OK and feel confident the pain will get better with time and analgesics!
You know when a few things go wrong in a week, sometimes you might feel like 'why does this always happen to me?' But this week I feel OK about everything. I'm sure we'll find another car, the world won't end in the meantime. I'm physically OK; there are much worse accidents.
But yah boo sucks!

Wow! That really does suck! But as the book says 'could've been worse!'
Sheesh what a sucky week you've had....things can only improve at least!
That is surely one bad week - and you are still so positive. Yay !!! Imagine how great this next week is going to be by comparison!
Yikes!I hope next week is much better and all your heal quickly.
so sorry to hear of your injuries and your car Carolyn!! Hope your neck heals quickly. I am loving those aprons. Thank you again for your help with the html!!
cripes, that's a run of bad luck! Hope you heal well.
On a side note, do you know the Enid Blyton character Yah Boo! which I thought of when I saw the title to your post....
Boob bruises AND your car written off, that is a spectacular week. I hope you recover soon, and can find a nice replacement car.
It must be in the stars. There were accidents everywhere on the way to work. One of my colleagues had a car accident. There has been a lot of falling and ouches around here (not me, knock wood) and general unpleasantness. The new moon is not that far away. Surely it will be all over soon. Hope the swelling and bruises go down so you can enjoy this weekend.
Jeepers, I hate weeks like that. I am glad to hear you are okay and that you have your chin up.
Wow Caroline, glad you are OK - bit shaken AND stirred I bet. You'll smile about it soon....
What Janet said - I had an EB "Yah Boo!" book.
And geez, yes, ok, you're alive and stuff, but yeah, there are better weeks.
I wonder how many people hit here hoping to look for some bruised bosom pics ? :)
boob bruises, ee gads that does not sound good.
Darn this rain, I am so flippin fed up with it. Every time I think it's eased up and attempt to go for a walk I get bucketed on.
Okay, I'm completly amazed by your boob bruises too. Hopefully this next week will be better and you will see the back of all that other stuff! (You're right! It could have been worse. I'm glad it wasn't!)
That really does suck. I hope you're having a better week this week!
after a week like that, life can only get better. take care and look after yourself.
