Dearest J brought home a Golden Book for me that he'd salvaged from lost-and-found. He thought it had been there long enough and knew I'd been thrilled to have it.
It's one I've never seen before.
I am particularly fond of the final illustration.
Because I'm very fond of bed.

I don't remember this one - I thought I did from the title, but apparently the dragon/wagon combination is much more popular than I thought!

I had this book as a child - might have to go through Mum's trunk of old books and see if it's still there (my kids would probably like it now - and I'll have a whole new appreciation of the illustrations :P)
Congrats on your blogiversary. I love that last illustration too, going to use it for inspiration for an artwork I think, if that's ok! Thanks for posting all the great pics, it's kind of amaazing because it means other people get to see illustrations they wouldn't otherwise get to see.
